2011 Scholarship Winners

The NEBRASCOE Board received six applications for three $500 scholarships this year.

We would like to thank all the applicants that applied and wish them the best of luck in their future education.  The three winners for 2001 are:

 

 

Erik Derby, son of Jann Derby, PT in Pawnee County.  Erik attended Pawnee City Public School from kindergarten through his high school graduation in May of 2011.  Erik excelled in sports and still managed to be on the honor roll during his entire high school education.  He graduated with a 4.0 point average and had also completed 20 college credit hours.  Erik applied to and was accepted at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln to continue his education.

Marissa Kovanda, daughter of Dale Kovanda, CED in Nuckolls County.  Marissa attended Lawrence/Nelson Public School for elementary and high school and graduated from there in May of 2011 with a 3.94 grade point average.  Marissa’s accomplishments during her high school years include honor roll, National Honor Society, numerous class officers and completion of several college credit hours.  Marissa applied to and was accepted at Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln to further her education and pursue a career in Athletic Training.

Morgan Vitosh, daughter of Amy Vitosh, PT in Gage County.  Morgan attended Diller-Odell High School and graduated from there in May of 2011 with a 3.97 grade point average.  Morgan graduated at the top of her class and completed several college credit hours through Southeast Community College during her senior year.  Morgan was on the honor roll (all semesters), inducted in to the National Honor Society, and received several NSAA Academic All-State honors.  She has chosen to attend Concordia University in Seward to further her education in Exercise Science.
